Description

Microteaching sessions are small-group workshops with 4-5 participants in which each participant plans and delivers a 10-minute lesson. After delivering the lesson, the participant will have the opportunity to self-reflect on their teaching experience as well as receive constructive feedback from their peers. The feedback will be collected and synthesized by the facilitator who will then send the written feedback to each participant.

Participants are required to submit their lesson plans to the facilitator one week in advance of the session. This session can be used as one (and only one) of the instructional practice events required for UTC program completion. This workshop is open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and will be especially helpful for students completing the University Teaching Certificate and also supports the ASPIRE program.

Information collected is done so under the authority of the Wilfrid Laurier University Act and will not be shared. It will be used only for administrative purposes associated with this event including but not limited to registration and confirmation of participation.
